Orlando, FL — October 1, 2024 — As Orlando International Fashion Week (OIFW) approaches its 10th anniversary celebration in November, the excitement continues to build with new announcements, partnerships, and event details. OIFW is thrilled to welcome esteemed professionals to its Advisory Board and introduce new fashion designers who will showcase their work at this year’s event.
New Partnerships and Advisory Board Members
This year, OIFW has proudly partnered with Advisory Board member Anelya Alim and her Makeup School, based in New York. Anelya, a Paris-trained celebrity makeup artist, is renowned for her work with A-list celebrities, international beauty queens, and high-profile fashion shows such as New York Fashion Week. Her school offers a one-of-a-kind makeup artistry power program, where students train alongside industry icons and master state-of-the-art techniques. Anelya’s team will play a pivotal role in OIFW's beauty experiences during the 10th anniversary events.
We are also pleased to welcome the following new Advisory Board members:
Nadege Wilson: Fashion influencer, blogger, and owner of the boutique "Ce Tres Chic." Nadege has worked with luxury brands worldwide and will bring her unique fashion expertise to the board.
David Wheeler: Chief Executive Officer of the Global Peace Film Festival, David is a pioneer in digital media and streaming with over 40 years of experience in business and nonprofit management.
Thali Sugisawa: Cultural Tourism Director at United Arts of Central Florida, Thali brings her expertise in cross-cultural programming and development to OIFW. She is also the co-founder of FusionFest, an award-winning nonprofit celebrating cultural diversity in Central Florida.
Kristi Klein and Tony Zumbo: President and Managing Director, respectively, of Bang & Olufsen of Winter Park. They will provide a "sound experience" at the Grand Bohemian shows, further enhancing the luxurious atmosphere of the event.
Lana Light, CFP®, CRPC™: Treasurer and Certified Financial Planner®, Lana brings her combined expertise in finance and fashion modeling to OIFW's leadership team.
Chalo Garcia: International Liaison and renowned beauty and fashion photographer. Chalo, the owner of InterModelo Magazine, brings over 16 years of experience from across Latin America and the United States. His work has been published internationally, and he has collaborated with prestigious pageants and modeling competitions.
Additionally, OIFW welcomes two new Advocates to support its mission:
Barbara Hartley, Executive Director of the Downtown Arts District, and
Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon, Chief Curator at the Orlando Museum of Art, whose expertise in the arts will further strengthen OIFW’s cultural impact in the community.
